We’ve had an excellent experience here. Unfortunately with a change in my wife’s work we’ve needed our kids closer to our house on the other side of Melton. We had had a disastrous experience with another childcare which was why we changed to here to begin with. Both our kids have flourished, and in particular with our eldest, we’ve seen a massive improvement even at home which I attribute to the time they’ve spent here. All the staff are extremely friendly (despite a few of them barracking for Collingwood), our kids were always happy to be on their way there, and drop offs were always painless, again a very different experience from the last place. If you live close to the heart of Melton I thoroughly recommend their service. If we could pick up their whole facility and people and move them to Eynesbury, our kids would be the first enrolled.

I love play and grow day care. After looking into and visiting other daycares , my husband and I walked into play and grow,My 7 month old loved the place on very first visit. She enjoyed all the orientations and easily settled for full days. All credit goes to dedicated, hard working staff and homely environment of the centre. Director kitty is an amazing leader, true example of motivation and leading the day care family with lots of luv and passion. My baby 's educators Kelly, Dinna and Daljit are fully professional, focused on babies well fare and friendly. They listen the parents carefully and follow all the instructions as per given by parents. By end of the day I get full report of my baby's day. I am happy to say that my little one is in secure and safe hands.I would recommend this place to everyone.Cheers

I can not find the words to describe how thankful/ grateful for I / my family is for play and grow. The staff have mentored, encouraged and supported my 2 children for over 2 years and we are so extremely lucky that we chose this centre. As a helicopter mum it’s been amazing to know that every day that I drop my children off I can leave knowing they are safe, well cared for and are happy. I don’t sing play and grow’s praises, I shout it 😂🙈😊

Navigating the Early Years Learning Framework: A Parent’s Perspective
Navigating the Early Years Learning Framework: A Parent’s Perspective

Discovering the Early Years Learning Framework As a parent, understanding the Early Years Learning Framework is crucial for supporting our children's early development. This framework provides a guiding structure for educators and parents to create enriching learning experiences for young children. A brief overview The Early Years Learning Framework sets out the principles, practices, and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age. It emphasizes the significance of childhood as a valuable stage of life in its own right. Why it matters for our kids Understanding and implementing the Learning Framework ensures that our children receive high-quality education and care during their formative years. It focuses on creating opportunities for children to develop their potential and lays a strong foundation for future success in learning. My First Encounter with the Learning Framework When I first came across the Early Years Learning Framework, I was intrigued by its approach to early childhood education. Initially, I felt overwhelmed by the information but soon realized its potential to positively impact my child's learning journey. Initial thoughts and feelings My initial thoughts were a mix of curiosity and uncertainty. I wondered how this framework could be integrated into our daily routines and activities. Seeking clarity and understanding I delved deeper into researching about the framework, seeking clarity on its core principles and how they could be applied at home. Understanding its significance helped me embrace it as a valuable tool in nurturing my child's growth. The Heart of the Early Years Learning Framework Key Principles of the Early Years Learning Framework When delving into the essence of the Early Years Learning Framework, it becomes evident that its core values form the foundation for enriching our children's early learning experiences. These principles, including respect for diversity and a focus on holistic development, are fundamental in shaping a nurturing environment for young learners. Understanding the core values: Respect for diversity: Embracing and celebrating each child's unique background, culture, and abilities fosters an inclusive learning environment. Holistic development: Recognising that children learn and develop in various ways—socially, emotionally, physically, creatively, and cognitively—guides our approach to supporting their overall growth. How these principles guide learning: The framework's emphasis on respecting diversity ensures that every child feels valued and included in the learning process. By embracing holistic development, we can tailor activities and experiences to cater to each aspect of a child's growth, promoting well-rounded learning opportunities. Learning Outcomes in the Early Years What we hope our kids will achieve: The Early Years Learning Framework outlines several desired outcomes for young children, including a strong sense of identity, connection with their world, confidence in their abilities, effective communication skills, and a love for learning. These outcomes serve as aspirations for our children's early years' development. Seeing progress and development: As parents implementing this framework at home, witnessing our children exhibit these outcomes brings immense joy. Observing them confidently express themselves or engage with others demonstrates tangible progress in their early developmental...

Take Charge: Transforming Your Child Care Tour with This Checklist
Take Charge: Transforming Your Child Care Tour with This Checklist

Why a Detailed Child Care Tour Checklist is Your Best Friend When it comes to choosing the right child care for your little one, the power of preparation cannot be overstated. A detailed child care tour checklist sets the stage for a successful tour and ensures that no crucial details are overlooked. By investing time in creating and using this tool, you can avoid the regret that often accompanies missing important aspects during the decision-making process. A good tour checklist should encompass essential elements that every parent should include. These may range from safety and cleanliness standards to staff qualifications and turnover rates. However, what truly makes a tour checklist invaluable is its ability to be tailored to your child's specific needs. Every child is unique, and their individual requirements should be at the forefront when evaluating potential child care options. By customising your tour checklist to align with your child's needs, you can ensure that no stone is left unturned during your visits to various child care facilities. This personalised approach empowers you to focus on aspects that are particularly important for your child's well-being and development. Mastering the Basics of Your Child Care Tour As you embark on the journey of finding the perfect child care for your little one, mastering the basics of your child care tour is essential. This stage of the process sets the tone for what you can expect from a potential facility and helps you gauge whether it aligns with your child's needs. First Impressions and Staff Introductions When you step into a child care centre, pay close attention to the welcome both you and your child receive. A warm and inclusive greeting can set a positive tone for your visit. Child care providers who take the time to engage with your child directly demonstrate an understanding of their importance in the setting. Understanding staff qualifications and turnover is equally crucial. Inquire about the experience and training of the caregivers who will be interacting with your child on a daily basis. Low turnover rates often indicate a stable and contented team, which contributes to a nurturing environment for children. Safety and Cleanliness Standards Key safety features should be at the top of your tour checklist when evaluating potential child care options. Look out for secure entry points, fenced outdoor play areas, and well-maintained equipment. These elements contribute to a safe environment where children can explore and learn confidently. Cleanliness serves as a reflection of overall care within a facility. Take note of tidiness in common areas, hygienic practices during meal times, and proper storage of personal belongings. A clean and organised space indicates that attention to detail is prioritised, which extends to all aspects of child care. Ensuring warm and inclusive greetings for both you and your child Inquiring about staff qualifications, experience, and turnover rates Looking out for secure entry points, fenced outdoor play areas, and well-maintained equipment Observing cleanliness in common areas, hygienic practices during meal times, and proper storage of...
